In our new weekly “Monday Motivator” series, we are offering tech tips to help your association be more productive in 2016. So far, we’ve taken a look at Wunderlist and the design tool Canva. Up next is the app Fast Scanner.

Available for both Apple and Android products, Fast Scanner is an app that turns your mobile device into a scanner for documents, receipts, notes, invoices, business cards, whiteboards and more.

Scan your document, then print or email them as PDF or JPEG files, or save the PDF files in your device. You can also open the PDFs or JPEGs in other apps if you want to save to the cloud or send them to someone else by fax.

There are a lot of similar apps out there, but users say Fast Scanner sets itself apart in the way it is legibly capture the details even on something as small as receipts, similar to what you’d get from a full-size scanner. Fans of the app also say it is intuitively structured, and they like how you can scan multiple pages of a document as one “batch.” Its brightness controls get a lot of praise, too.

While the free version has the features you would want, paying $2.99 will grant you an advertisement-free experience with this app.
