Elizabeth M. Lucas, CAE is an accomplished strategist and nonprofit leader. She helps clients achieve their vision through transformational change. As a change-agent, she successfully aligns organizations to drive growth and realize a new tomorrow. She understands how to use analytics to develop outcomes and measures for success that motivate teams to move forward. With deep experience in consensus-building across cultures, countries, and languages, Liz brings an international perspective to her work with association leaders.
As Executive Director and CEO of Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. Liz was the architect of increasing this membership organization’s collective impact across 20 countries. She used her communications skills and cultural awareness to run a successful change-management campaign. The results included building a new business model, increasing organizational capacity, expanding revenue streams, and strengthening fundraising. Her team’s award-winning work has been recognized with ASAE’s Innovation Award and ASAE’s Power of Association’s Summit Award.
Liz also served as Executive Director of the American Massage Therapy Association and their research foundation. Under her leadership, the organization’s net assets tripled. She was responsible for public policy initiatives and professional regulation in 43 states. She also diversified the association’s continuing education delivery methods and resources and co-led a board initiative to develop a more strategic approach to governance.
Elizabeth has held consulting roles with Ideas for Action LLC and as principal of the Alta Vista Group. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Global Business and Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
