I hope you’re doing well and staying safe! At .orgSource we’ve been working to help you get ahead of the disruption impacting our industry. In case you missed it, we’ve compiled resources to help organizations through this challenging time.

Be Future Focused

Almost every day, I get a call from an association leader looking for advice. At the beginning of the closures, most of the conversations involved virtual meetings or setting up remote offices. Now the questions are moving to topics like budget planning, fall conferences, stressed staff and unfortunately, making difficult decisions about layoffs or canceling planned projects. To assist, I’ve evolved our services to help organizations get through this bumpy patch.

Our team of expert consultants is now available for short-term but high impact engagements. For example, our consultants can jump in to help you facilitate a challenging Board meeting, conduct scenario planning and decision tree exercises, redesign a budget, fill in staffing gaps, facilitate difficult conversations, or reset your marketing plan or communications strategy to align with the current situation.

As we see leaders turn their focus forward to what needs to be done in the next four months, we’ve developed resources to assist you. The following are currently the most popular.

Welcome to Our New Customers

We kicked off a couple of exciting new projects this month, including a first for us – meeting a client for the first time wearing a mask and without handshakes! The Vibration Institute asked us to assess their technology and help with an AMS implementation. Mitre Engenuity is working with us on a certification project to build a non-dues revenue stream. In addition, recently we helped

  • PCI implement a learning management system and prepare for an upcoming move
  • CBDCE launch a gorgeous new website
  • Canton Company project manage their office move
  • And continue several organizations with digital enhancement projects.

Additions to the Consulting Team

I’m pleased to announce we’ve added Diane Nelson to the team as a senior consultant. Diane is a non-profit industry veteran who most recently served as the Chief Services Officer for Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a 28,000+ global peer community of chief executives that generate US$9 trillion and employ more than 22 million people in 130 countries. Prior to YPO, Diane served as the Chief Membership Officer of ISACA, a global membership and certification organization that grew their support for 145,000 professionals in 180 countries with four certifications and education that spans several roles in assurance, governance, risk and information security.

Lauren Nopar is on board as a marketing project manager. She is a marketing storyteller and digital strategist specializing in content and business development. Lauren brings experience in social, search and creative strategy to .orgSource.

Sophia Miller joined us earlier this month as a project specialist. Previously she worked at the trade association, 340B Health, which represents more than 1400 public and private nonprofit hospitals and health systems that participate in the 340B drug pricing program.

You Are the Best!

Finally, I’m grateful for our customers. We learn from the conversations we have with you and distill that information into tools and resources to benefit the association community. We’re thankful for each and every one of you!

And remember, we’re here to help. Call me at 847.275.1840, if you would like to talk, or you can set up a meeting here.
